Establish what needs a site check
Measurements, existing services and access may need inspecting before a price can be confirmed. Ask which parts can be assessed from your description and which require a visit.
Prepare measurements and photographs - 03
Check the written quotation
Confirm the work, products, exclusions, price and payment stages. Name who supplies each item and who provides specialist installation records. Resolve unconfirmed products and price allowances before accepting the proposal.

Agree access, deliveries and changes
Confirm the start arrangements and any loss of essential facilities. If the work changes, record the revised task, price and timing before it proceeds; keep the revision with the quotation.

Compare the result with the agreed work and record outstanding items. Collect instructions and required certificates. For a later concern, send the job details, photographs and a description of the problem.
